Log-periodic dipole array for 2–6GHz and AD8317
Some advances in antenna experimentation were made: We are now able to “listen” in an extended range of 1MHz–10GHz with the AD8317 and low-cost evaluation sets made in China. Also a first log-periodic dipole array was build tuned for 2-6GHz with 13 Elements and a lenght of about 17cm (two youtube tutorials [A, B] have been very helpful). Shielding was more succesful, since we learned that holes in a shielding box need to be reduced to a minimum. Boxes in boxes solutions are sometimes necessary to achieve good results.
We are now planning to build a log antenna with more lenght and other antennas such as a patch antennas, Yagi-Antennas, fractal?! or combine those.. ?!
